Our History

 

Just like the financial services industry, our firm has rapidly grown and evolved since our founding in 2001. John Y. Kim founded  Symphony Financial Services, Inc. and named it after his lifelong love of music. John is a graduate of the Julliard School of Music, prep division.   John saw a need for independent advice to both business owners and individual investors.  Today, in order to provide the highest level of client security, we are proudly supported by LPL Financial.  LPL Financial enhances our ability to serve our clients needs by providing compliance oversight, asset custody as well as monitoring client assets with multiple levels of security. Our mission is simple:  We aim to deliver value to clients through an ongoing, intimate relationship while helping to optimize and harmonize your financial resolve.

 

Over the past 14 years, we have grown from our humble beginnings in a shared office space in downtown Akron to our new permanent home in Fairlawn.  What started as a one man team has now grown to include a select group of professionally educated and extremely passionate advisors who collectively bring over 100 years of experience.  In addition to our advisors, we have a knowledgeable team of support staff who have taken our business to another level.  We believe our dedicated and highly professional staff allow our clients to feel at ease knowing they have a centralized source of trusted advice.  We hope that you take the time to get to know your Symphony Financial Services, Inc. team and look forward to you joining our Symphony family.
